The MD Division of Unemployment Insurance has call center hours from 7:30am – 3:30pm at 410-949-0022. They may also be contacted by email at ui.inquiry@maryland.gov.
Health Resources
Maryland is providing a special enrollment period to get access to health care through the exchange system. More information is here.
Maryland has a free program for seniors providing a daily check-in phone call. If the call goes unanswered repeatedly, a designated contact (family member, for example) is notified. Learn more here.
Utilities
PEPCO is waiving new late fees and suspending service disconnections through at least June 1 and will be working with customers on a case-by-case basis to establish payment arrangements and identify energy assistance options. Customers who may be challenged in paying their Pepco bill should contact Pepco Customer Care at 202-833-7500.
Washington Gas is waiving late fees and suspending service disconnections. Contact Washington Gas at 1-844-WASHGAS (927-4427) or visit the E-Service portal at eservice.washgas.com for assistance.
WSSC has suspended all water service shutoffs and will also waive late fees and work one on one with customers impacted by the outbreak. Contact WSSC at 301-206-WSSC (9772).

Food Resources
- Montgomery County Public Schools is providing “grab-and-go” breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Friday from 11am – 1pm at many school locations. Get more information here.
- Manna Food Center is temporarily waiving income requirements to provide food to any Montgomery County resident impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. Residents are encouraged to contact Manna as soon as possible to begin receiving food through regular distribution channels. Get more information here. Call 301.424.1130
