National Night Out 2010 - August 3rd

Two MHP properties participated in the 27th Annual National Night Out (NNO) program on August 3, 2010 this year: Beall’s Grant in Rockville, and Dring’s Reach in Silver Spring.
National Night Out is a community building campaign designed to:
(1) Heighten crime prevention awareness; (2) Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs; (3) Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and (4) Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
The 2010 Annual National Night Out involved over 15,000 communities and 40 million people in all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities, and military bases worldwide. Along with the traditional outside lights and front porch vigils, most cities and towns celebrate National Night Out with a variety of special citywide and neighborhood events such as block parties, cookouts, parades, festivals, visits from local officials and law enforcement, safety fairs, and youth events.
Here is a look at the sights and scenes from the cookouts at Beall’s Grant and Dring’s Reach.
